International Cooperation

The Department of Development Studies is part of Palacky University, the second oldest and one of the leading universities in the Czech Republic. The university is located in Olomouc, a small historical city with a pleasant university atmosphere. The university consists of eight faculties and has more than twenty thousand students.

The bachelor and master programmes are designed in Czech language. Yet the department aims for international outreach. We welcome lecturers from partner instituitions to teach in English and share their knowledge. We are also gradualy increasing the number of courses taught in English in order to enable foreign students to come and study the development studies programme in the specific context of Central Europe.
